 | Product CareThere are a few Do's and Don'ts for the products. If these simple straightforward tips are followed then you will get the best out of the product and ensure that your 'gift keeps on giving'.
Do Not :
1.
Do not use Silicon based furniture polish (i.e. aerosols) to clean the product. Silicon based furniture cleaners will actually cut through the French Polish and dull the product. It will still be stunningly attractive but the glamorous sheen of the french polish will have been eroded away.
If this happens by accident then by all means contact us via the home page details and we can possibly arrange to Re-French Polish your product for you to re-gain the wonderful lustre.
2.
Do not subject the products to extremes of temperature i.e. from closely positioned reading lamps, bedside table lamps or open fires... for examples. Wood contains a level of moisture throughout it's whole life, we age the wood to reduce the moisture level before it is worked, so under normal ambient UK conditions there will be no problem. If products are then subsequently subjected to direct heat then warping may become evident due to the excessive heat then drying out the wood beyond it's preferred normal levels.
3.
Like with any wooden product do not subject the products to extremes of humidity.
Do's
1.
Wipe / Moisturise the product with olive oil or wax-based furniture polish to keep the lustre of the french polish finish.
